| clean,very basic thats all i can say/miles outa city very confusing metro service and trams do not run near.pictures shown must be at least 25 years old and am not joking. |

| I have just returned from a 5 day break with my boyfriend in Prague. What a beautiful city, Prague is undoubtedly somewhere I would reccomend anyone visit. This hotel however unfortunately left much to be desired. The rooms were basic and as it was rather cold at this time of year it was dissapointing to find that we seemingly had a choice between a boiling hot room and freezing water or a freezing room and a hot shower (we chose the latter). This however was bearable. What wasn't was the severe drilling and banging that woke us every single morning at 9am (usually pausing at around 11am for a few hours) on the last 2 days the banging was so severe it made the plates shake in the kitchen and started at 8am continuing throughout the day. When we confronted the hotel owner about it he said they had a water leek and considered this explanation enough. We were offered no compensation and no appology despite our obvious anger and distress. As this was my 1 week off from work for the year I was relishing the thought of a relaxing 5 days lazing around at my own pace, enjoying the peace and quiet and taking in the site's. This became impossible due to our room being part of a building site. I could only look forward to returning back to Newcastle where the general sound of traffic would feel like a rural paradise!!!! |
