| Have just returned from a lovely couple of days stay in Prague. Hotel Melantrich has a superb location right next to the square and is in walking distance from most of the attractions. Rooms were comfortable and clean, reception very helpful and breakfast more than adequate. The entrance to the hotel was hard to workout at first as you seem to be entering the disco and have to ring a bell once at the door, having said that it worked well once we realised what you needed to do. Would have perhaps wanted a few more amenities if staying longer ie. small fridge, air conditioning. |

| I have been to Prague a few times before and comparatively this hotel was good for the money. Particularly at the beginning of the year as prices double come summer.
Comments -
Great location literally 100+ yards from the Mustek Subway, Friendly staff, Breakfast was ok with usual coffee, tea, cereals, toaster, juices , stuffed olives(!), etc, etc - good without being exceptional. Room was clean and reasonably sized. Beds were ok - again clean without being exceptionally comfy. Bathroom was clean tough a word of warning - the hot water didnt seem to come on until 8am each morning.
I could not see a lift to our second floor room - which is ok - unless you have heavy bags.
Overall very good hotel/room for 2 people. |
