| Breakfast fine (diverse, nice service, music like in all of Prague badly chosen - OK, they are not supposed to be good DJs, but serve a good buffet); breakfast room tiny, but OK; reception service depending on the lady present either nice or unfriendly; room dark; room cleaning service busy with the bathroom, but didn't clean the floor in 4 days); shower very good; beds very good; noise: tram as well as cars (not too loud, our window was at the narrow side street - but noise will be a big problem in the rooms at the front); I did not like the fact that the room rates (in Euro) are adapted to the change rate EURO - Czech Crowns, so we paid 4 Euros more per night than indicated on the web site (but maybe that is being naive); location: Taboritska street not worth mentioning, but the quarter Zizkov has very nice streets. |

Golden City Prague | Guest Rating (30%) |
| The only reason this hotel isn't getting a 10% from me is because they have free internet and the staff is quite nice. It's also close to the city center by tram. However, in every other aspect, it is horrible. It may be eaiser to list the atrocities:
1. it's in a neighborhood rich with mini-casinos and right across the street from an xxx shop. 2. there are no good resaurants within walking distance
3. it's dirty (i'm sorry, when i have to remove one set of sheets because there is too much hair - which is not mine- on them, that's bad)
4. it's noisy (i'm a heavy sleeper but was kept up all night by an clicking sound that could have been either the front door or the automatic lights going on and off...if i had been an even lighter sleeper the trolly less than 20 meters away would have woken me as well)

NO WARNING ABOUT PARKING | Guest Rating (10%) |
| We spent 2 nights in the hotel. The room was OK, and the breakfast was really great.
However, we had asked the receptionist about where to park and they told us any near street without and X or \ would be OK. However, on the day of our departure there was a street cleaning which required all cars to be moved. We were not warned and could not read the signs that were in Czech. We ended up having to pay the Police 1,450 CZK because they towed our car. Plus, the hassle of riding the tram to the Police Impound.
Hotel was nice, but I was completely dissatisfied with the customer service. |

| This is the second time I have stayed at "The Golden City Hotel" I have found it to be very pleasant and the staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good and it is all very good value for money.
I would reccommend this hotel to others, but would have to say it is basic, likening it to Holiday Inn or Travel lodge, but, add it is all you need, when you are out and about in Prague city centre viewing all the sights.
I look forward to staying there again in the future.

| The linen on the beds could do with some changing. However, the rooms were clean and the the personnel were friendly and very helpful. |

pleasant and clean | Guest Rating (70%) |
| This hotel though small is pleasant and clean.
The location is also quite easily accessible.
My family rates the breakfast as Superb (though only very good according to my son who misses his home food badly] and the gentleman who runs the kitchen is very friendly, kind and extremely helpful.
The neighbouring small chinese restaurant named Sam Sing is recommendable.
Certainly worth the money spent on this place. |
