Hot water is still a problem here!!!

I stayed at this apartment for a 3 day weekend in Mid-December. The apartment is huge. It has a double bed and a single bed and I think the sofa can be converted into a bed too. Furnishings are little bare but decent. But here are problems: 1) Hot water continues to be a problem. The boiler was running but water was luke warm at best. I informed the office about it in the afternoon of the second day and a maintenance man came by the apartment in the morning of the third day tried to fix it. But was not able to fix it. I would have asked to move into another apartment if I weren’t staying only for one more day. 2) Running water in the toilet. There is a leak from the tank seal into the toilet so the water is continuously filling the tank. Even when I shut off the water supply valve to tank did not help. The maintenance man was able to stop the running water while he was there. But the next time I flush the problem came back. 3) There was a computer but was told the internet was not working. The computer runs on an Operating System I have never seen before, therefore dose not have any applicantions that was useful to me. Fortunately I had my laptop with me and was able to pick up some intermittent unsecure wireless signals from the neighbors and gained internet access. In summary, running water in the toilet is an annoyance and I’m sure it can be fixed rather easily by replacing the flushing mechanism. I just shut to bathroom and bedroom doors to drown the running water noise. Internet access was only another annoyance since I was able to pick up wireless signal. But the hot water problem is a deal killer. I would not consider staying here again until that is completely fixed. Other than that, it is a nice apartment. Prague Holiday office staff was friendly and helpful.

Olympia Apt - Prague Holiday

We were unfortunately very disappointed with the location and the apartment. It was large and bright, had a nice kitchen area on a square - should have been ideal... but there were 3 of us, so the pull out sofa was needed, but we couldnt use as it was so uncomfortable and the mattress was very very stained. Luckily we could move the small spare bed into the living room. We didnt have a shower, but bath with shower handle and the water was never hot enough for a proper bath or shower. We were told that there were many restaurants and cafe's nearby but we had to walk 25 / 30 minutes every morning to find anywhere to have a coffee, and the pubs and restaurants that were occasionally open weren't very nice. The area will no doubt be fantastic in a couple of years as its under refurb and the park and architecture in the area is really impressive but it is all under construction, so we had to spend 12 - 15 Euros every night to get back there after being on the south side of the river, and it was too far to go back after the day to just relax before dinner. The info said 15 minute walk to central Prague and it is more like 30 mins to Republika Namesti, so we felt very disappointed and did unfortunately have a very negative impact on our holiday. If we had known how far by foot it really was and how run down the area currently is we would have very gladly paid much more to have our expectations met. Prague is lovely, the employees of Prague holiday very friendly and I hate to write a negative review, but its obviously more constructive to be honest. Thank you.

Apartment Olympia prague

We share similar impressions of this apartment. Our stay was great. We enjoyed all the advantages that others described (spaciousness, washing machine, reliable TV and internet, location), but without a major problem with getting hot water. The bath tap is a little fickle and the hot water does run slow, though. A newer mattress on the main bed would also improve the accommodation. My biggest request isn't about the apartment, but to arrange a key return in the building to avoid running downtown before going to the airport.

Apartment olympia prague

We're two persons and spent one week with in the appartment. It was spacious, clean, bright and quiet. The view on a square surrounded by old buildings is amazing! The hot water supply was improved, so we didn't have problems with it. Contact with Prague Holiday agency was nice and uncomplicated. In total we can really recommend it.

quiet neighbourhoud

We liked the appartment,but the third bed was`nt okay,there was no matras on the bed. The bath was not clean and no hot water. The vieuw was nice and it was in a quiet neighbourhoud!
