| The wife and I only just left the Amadeus and rushed to write this review:
We stayed at the Amadeus for 9 nights from the end of April. This Pension has allot to say for itself - but the best part, the staff, will be saved for last.
The hotel is a small multistory building, a few minutes' walk from the Colonade with a beautiful panorama of the promanade. It is very close to the colonade and the main attractions and central spring water fountains.
The rooms are spacious, meticulously clean and furnished in a definite 'mozartish' feel. The rest rooms were clean, small, but cleverly designed so as not to be cramped.
There is also a small private garden with lawn furnishing for a quiet afternoon read or quick siesta.
Breakfast was scrumptious, with little treats and home made jams and pastries.
All of this makes for a great find in a relatively low price for its location. However, the real asset of this hotel is its manager, Petra. This lady assisted us in everything we required - from last minute (and difficult to acquire) appointments with the local hot spring medical facilities to booking us another hotel (at an unusually low rate) in central prague where we continued our stay. Petra stayed up late, woke up early, cared for all her guests and helped us turn our vacation into a real dream come true.
In short: don't stay anywhere else, Mozart wouldn't approve. |

| Pension Amadeus has the old-world charm and elegance befitting an accomodation in an historic spa town. The location is excellent, with wonderful views and easy walking to the promenade. Our room was spacious and complete with beautiful family heirlooms, and our private bath small but very efficient. The breakfast was the nicest we tasted on our entire Czech holiday and included homemade strudel. We will be sending our friends to this pension. |
