| A truly grand old hotel, though rooms are decorated & furnished in odd way totally inconsistent with the architecture (a relic of the Communist era or the way Russian visitors like?). No pool, but spa facilities. Breakfast, bar, & dining rooms are gorgeous. Staff helpful, pleasant, professional. |

| I liked the hotel, especially the location and the buffet breakfast. The bathroom of our bedroom, however was very very small and the shower/tub dangerously high. This was my only complaint. |

| First, this hotel, while promoted as a Best Western, has not had any affiliation with Best Western for 2 years now. This is extremely misleading and false advertising. Second, upon check in, the hotel did not want to accept our prepaid reservation from Prague Holiday. They isisted upon cash. It took over an hour and multiple phone calls from the hotel manager to Prague Holiday to straighten it out. Third, the air conditioning in the room did not work and there was no offer from the hotel to fix it. They recommended that we open the windows! Lastly, internet access was intermittent and only available in their lobby. I wish I had better things to say about this hotel, but I do not. Skip it. There are much nicer hotels available in the beautiful town of Karlovy Vary. |

| This is a quiet, serene beauty where the Tepla River is right outside and the wooded walk on the other side creates a tranquil hideaway, yet right at the spa...delicious breakfasts and hosts that are kind, friendly and helpful; the masseuse was great, too. |

| The wife and I only just left the Amadeus and rushed to write this review:
We stayed at the Amadeus for 9 nights from the end of April. This Pension has allot to say for itself - but the best part, the staff, will be saved for last.
The hotel is a small multistory building, a few minutes' walk from the Colonade with a beautiful panorama of the promanade. It is very close to the colonade and the main attractions and central spring water fountains.
The rooms are spacious, meticulously clean and furnished in a definite 'mozartish' feel. The rest rooms were clean, small, but cleverly designed so as not to be cramped.
There is also a small private garden with lawn furnishing for a quiet afternoon read or quick siesta.
Breakfast was scrumptious, with little treats and home made jams and pastries.
All of this makes for a great find in a relatively low price for its location. However, the real asset of this hotel is its manager, Petra. This lady assisted us in everything we required - from last minute (and difficult to acquire) appointments with the local hot spring medical facilities to booking us another hotel (at an unusually low rate) in central prague where we continued our stay. Petra stayed up late, woke up early, cared for all her guests and helped us turn our vacation into a real dream come true.
In short: don't stay anywhere else, Mozart wouldn't approve. |

| This was the perfect accommodation for us. The villa is situated so beautifully and we could watch the New Year fireworks from our balcony. It is spotlessly clean and with fragrant linen. Very tastefully furnished and the lady who runs it is a friendly, warm and refined person. Also excellent that it is non smoking. Lovely breakfasts; we couldn't be happier and will definitely return. |

| I enjoyed my three night stay in Villa Rosa. The Villa is beautifully renovated with gorgeous view of the town. The breakfast was very nice and the service was excellent. It was a pleasant retreat. |

| Pension Amadeus has the old-world charm and elegance befitting an accomodation in an historic spa town. The location is excellent, with wonderful views and easy walking to the promenade. Our room was spacious and complete with beautiful family heirlooms, and our private bath small but very efficient. The breakfast was the nicest we tasted on our entire Czech holiday and included homemade strudel. We will be sending our friends to this pension. |
