Great location and the price of comfort for that | Guest Rating (80%) |
| The pension had its advantages as well as disadvantages.
The biggest advantage is its perfect location - really in the historical citycenter. Another - is that rooms are really nice. In spite of that they are directly under the roof, the ceilings are very high and it is very comfortable to be there. The rooms are nicely equipped, clean. You feel yourself comfortable. Another thing that we really liked was breakfast - delicious, good quality, Italian style - very very nice.
Now, disadvantages. The first room we were given did not have bathroom inside the room - it was in a separate room in the corridor. So you have to go out of your room in order to use toilet or even just to wash your hands. That is appropriate for a hostel where you share a room with 5 other people for 7 euro/night, and that is appropriate. But, excuse me, the pension that calls itself 3 stars and promises great service - at least should prevent about this highly uncomfortable circumstance. Because then people have a chance to decide and do not feel cheated when they arrive. That caused in us a high desire to leave this pension after 5 minutes of being there.
Fortunately, the pension offered us another room, that had bathroom included, and that was totally fine, and highly satisfying.
Another uncomfortable thing is that the walls have quite bad sound isolation and you hear almost everything that people tell in the other room, which was quite embarrassing, taking into account that mostly there are couples staying there.
So if you are ready to accept these uncomfortable things, if your aim is mostly to discover magical and fabulous Prague and to come back to your place nicely tired from impressions and all day walking - this Pension Corto is a nice place to stay. The price was quite good and appropriate, and they have even offered us a discount for not having Wi-fi. So the service is very nice and helpful, and if they would correct these uncomfortable conditions, they would make a great place to stay in the historical citycenter of one of the greatest cities in Europe. |

Pressure Cooker | Guest Rating (40%) |
| In our last visit to Prague, we stayed at a place called Lida. It was a very nice place, but was booked. We chose Pension Corta because it looked nice from the photos. IT WAS A DUMP. None of the windows worked and it was hot. We felt like we were in a pressure cooker. We did not feel safe because every door required a different key. If there was a fire, we would have been cooked, because the doors required a key to get out of the room as well as into the room. The bathroom was not very clean... and we had to share it. We payed about 140. USD to stay there. Very disappointing. I say, try somewhere else if you desire a good nights sleep and a clean place to wash up. |

| Great place - great rooms, great location, great staff. BUT if you are in the new "5th floor" beware of the steps 148 and no lift! |
