Well located, cosy hotel in Prague. Very close to the castle. Very nice and authentic rooms.

Fantastic Place

This is the 4th time we have stayed there. The Hotel is wonderful and situated in a great place. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. The only reason I did not rate it 100% is due to the parking situation. The City of Prague has disallowed Hotels from blocking any parking spots in front of their Hotels. This makes it very difficult for our family, especially since we have a handicapped person. The lady at the desk was kind enough to find a parking garage for me, but it was quite a ways off. I also noticed that there were at least 50 open residential parking spots near the Hotel during our stay there. This was not the Hotel's fault, but someone needs to tell the City that their new law is somewhat short-sighted considering their reliance on Tourism. Hotels pay taxes, which means their clients do as well. They have just as much right to a spot or two out front as do residents. If the situation does not improve it may prevent us from returning as trains or flying in and taking taxis is too cost prohibitive.

Great Hotel

Great Place

Krale

Very personal an intimate feeling to this well kept smaller hotel with spacious rooms, good location and excellent service. Had a great stay.

NICE HOTEL

It is a nice and very charming hotel. The personnel is very kind and polite. The location is calm.

Dissapointed

From the outside a wonderful building - as well as the rooms very pittoresque and well arranged. But the service!!! I was very very dissapointed with the service of the premises that boast with their four stars. After asking where the solarium would be we got the answer we shouldnt go to the hotel facilities we should go to town! as well as the breakfast havent had a egg or fried bacon - which you would expect in a 4 star restaurant. Next to the fact that as I had a internet problem which was connected to the hotel facilities (the problem) noone was able to help and the main concierge seemed to be stressed out with every request. Very sad as it is such a beautiful hotel.

Hotel U Krale Karla Dec 2006

We stayed here for 4 nights after Christmas and for New Year. This hotel although in a pretty area is way too far 2 walk to Old & New Towns and taxi's aren't cheap. It is up a long steep bank so not suitable for elderly or people with children. It is not of a UK 4 star standard & theres no teas made in the rooms. The breakfast was poor and breakfast room was small. Some of the staff were sullen & rude ie. the waiter on breakfast duty who clattered and banged the crockery if you asked for anything. The receptionist on duty on New Years Day when we left was extremely rude.We had to vacate the room at noon and had an evening flight. We went out and left our cases there. We returned about half an hour before our transfer to the airport was due. She was not happy that we were sitting waiting inside the hotel (it was snowing outside!!) and was extremely rude she continued to glare at us and asked us what time we were leaving. So to the Hotel U Krale Karla your staff need to learn some manners!!

Good hotel in a pleasant district and with sympathetic service. Would have a better rate if the additional bed in the triple room was comfortable enough.
